ONBOARDING
Onboarding
At WorkFit Nurse On-Call, we are committed to delivering seamless, professional support that integrates smoothly into your clinic or workplace. To ensure our occupational health nurses can function efficiently and independently, a thorough onboarding process is essential.
Induction and Orientation
Before beginning clinical duties, all nurses must receive a comprehensive induction. This includes a walkthrough of your workplace, an introduction to key staff, and an overview of clinic-specific procedures, workflows, and expectations.
We recommend a three-hour induction session, allowing the nurse to become familiar with your environment, programs, and operating systems. During this time, the nurse should be provided with active logins and passwords to all relevant platforms, including appointment systems, data entry portals, electronic medical records, and reporting software. This enables them to operate independently and efficiently from their first shift.
To support the setup process, we offer a complimentary in-clinic induction day for all new partnerships. This ensures safety, continuity, and a consistent professional standard of care aligned with your team.
Access to Policies and Procedures
Access to your clinic’s policies and procedures is vital. Nurses will need visibility of clinical protocols, infection control measures, reporting guidelines, and any safety documentation relevant to their duties. If there are updates to any procedures, we ask that these be communicated before the nurse’s next booking to ensure compliance with current standards.
System Access and Logins
Our nurse must be provided with all necessary login credentials, including usernames and passwords, before their first shift. These details should be tested and operational to prevent any delays or workflow interruptions.
On-Site Expectations
Our nurse will arrive punctually, follow your workplace protocols, maintain infection control practices, and clearly document all services provided using your systems. Communication with your staff and patients will always be professional, and any questions will be directed to a nominated contact within your team.
Updates and Ongoing Communication
For repeat or ongoing bookings, please share any changes to systems, workflows, or procedures in advance. This helps us prepare accordingly and prevents delays or disruptions.
Equipment and Supplies
The clinic is responsible for providing all testing equipment, consumables, and clinical supplies required for the nurse to carry out their duties. While our nurse is experienced with a wide range of tools and platforms, they will still need a briefing on your specific setup during the induction process.
Summary
A successful working relationship relies on proper induction, access to relevant tools and systems, and ongoing communication. With a clear onboarding process in place, WorkFit Nurse On-Call can step in with confidence, helping your team continue delivering high-quality occupational health services.
