Spirometry Testing – Coal Board Standard

Our nurses are experienced in conducting high-quality spirometry testing that meets NSW Coal Board standards and general occupational health guidelines.

We offer:

Pre- and post-bronchodilator testing is conducted competently in line with required protocols.
We review, interpret, and report on results, identifying abnormalities or inconsistencies according to clinical standards.
Patients are guided through correct technique with expert troubleshooting to ensure valid and accurate results.
Our nurse is accredited and trained to perform Diffusing Capacity of the Lung for Carbon Monoxide (DLCO) testing when required.

All spirometry services are delivered using your clinic’s equipment and consumables. Our nurse will work within your policy and procedure framework and is familiar with a variety of systems and environments.

Equipment

Please note: To ensure seamless delivery, clinics must provide:

A calibrated spirometry device and mouthpieces
Appropriate medication and spacers for post-bronchodilator testing
DLCO testing unit (if applicable)
Access to your data recording or results management system
